USED Martin / HD-28 with Active Pickup (1993) Martin Acoustic-Electric Guitar [08]

A high-quality, used Martin HD-28 from 1993 has just arrived!

1947 marked a major change in the D-28’s design (decorative elements).
Previously featuring herringbone trim and a zigzag backstrip, the design was updated to black-and-white stripes and a checkered backstrip.
The HD-28 is a model introduced in 1976 that reproduces the decorative style used up until 1946.

Made in the USA at the Nazareth factory
The all-solid Dreadnought body features a spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back.
The top features scalloped X-bracing and is fitted with an ebony bridge and a black pickguard.
Herringbone trim and zigzag backstrip
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of approximately 43.5 mm and a 25.4" long scale, features an ebony fingerboard.
The headstock is equipped with Rotomatic-style tuners bearing the Martin logo.
A pickup (mounted on the underside of the top, not under the saddle) and a preamp have been added. * There are no controls accessible at the player’s fingertips.
* The frets have been replaced.

Since its arrival, the bridge has been re-glued (including finish touch-ups), loose bracing has been repaired, the nut has been replaced, and loose binding has been repaired.
The truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; the frets retain sufficient height for playing.
Due to aging and repair history, there are noticeable steps at the joints between the binding and the body, as well as between the neck heel cap and the neck.
Minor dents, scuffs, scratches, and playwear are scattered throughout the instrument.
The back of the neck has developed a sheen from playing (with a slightly sticky feel), and there is also peeling of the satin finish (with visible unevenness).
Fine touch-up marks are visible on the dents and areas where the finish has peeled.
There are traces of paint on the back of the body (including the binding) and signs that the finish has come into contact with something.
Although there are signs of use, aging, and repair marks, playability is excellent!

It delivers a solid low end and clear highs, all resonating with rich sustain.
The sound coming from the pickups is clear, making this a ready-to-play instrument!
