The Fender Japan TL55-78US is a model featuring a V-shaped neck finished in a 1955 style and equipped with USA pickups.

It features an ash body, a V-shaped one-piece maple neck, an 184R fingerboard, button-style string guides, a 5-point pickguard, dome-shaped knobs, and TL-VINTAGE (USA) pickups.

Although the neck serial number indicates a production date of around 1999–2002, this model appears in catalogs from 2006 onward. It is characterized by a crisp sound profile from the ash and maple construction, delivering a tone with a distinct presence.

The pickguard has been replaced, and there are signs of wear (including dents, small scratches, scuffs, play marks, picking marks, buckle marks, and discoloration, pitting, or rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage) on the body’s outer perimeter, sides, and edges.

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The originally narrow fret tops have been leveled to a lower height but remain at a playable level. The truss rod has been checked up to 60° in both directions and is in good condition (slightly tight).
