1968年製のスクールフェスティバルスネア
1960年代のラディックウッドスネアの定番、ジャズフェスティバルの
深さ6.5インチバージョンであるスクールフェスティバルスネア。
シリアル565964、インナーのスタンプより1968年製のものとみられます。
こちらの個体はスイッチの裏側にエクストラホールが有り、もしかしたらスーパークラシックスイッチ仕様の「シンフォニックモデル」の改造品の可能性がございます。
シェルは3plyのメイプル/ポプラ/マホガニーにメイプルレインフォースメントの
60年代の後期型のウッドシェルです(インナーホワイト塗装あり)
8テンションで6.5インチの深さで、よりファットでオープンな印象、温かみがありながらもパワー感があり、ロック系にも相性が良さそうなスネアです。
フープはオリジナルではありません。
年式相応に細かいパーツの傷、ピッツがありカスタム品でプレイヤーズコンディションではありますが、特に不具合やダメージを感じる箇所はなくサウンドは良好、十分現役です。

1968 School Festival Snare Drum
The School Festival snare drum, a classic 1960s Radick Wood snare,
The School Festival Snare is the 6.5-inch-deep version of the Jazz Festival.
Serial number 565964; based on the stamp inside the drum, it is believed to have been manufactured in 1968.
This particular drum has an extra hole on the back of the switch, so it may be a modified version of the “Symphonic Model” featuring the Super Classics switch.
The shell is a 3-ply maple/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcement,
(with a white interior finish).
With 8 tension and a depth of 6.5 inches, this snare has a fatter, more open sound—warm yet powerful—making it a good fit for rock music.
The hoops are not original.
As expected for its age, there are minor scratches and pits on the parts, and while it is a custom instrument in “player’s condition,” there are no noticeable defects or damage, the sound is excellent, and it is still fully functional.
