This guitar bears a stamp from the “Oval Logo” era, when the Custom Shop was still a small operation. It features an alder body and a one-piece maple neck—commonly known as the “Guppy Head” due to the arched shape near the decal—with a neck profile similar to a soft V. Neck Date: FEB 5 -,Pot Date: R9035/R1379041/R1379-, 5-way selector switch, and the pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SSL-1x3.

With the SSL-1—highly regarded for its vintage-style tone—and the 5-way selector switch, this guitar is both highly functional and delivers impeccable sound.

Signs of use are visible (including discoloration, minor scratches and scuffs, paint chipping on the body edges, a crack near the screw hole on the backplate, picking marks, buckle marks, warping characteristic of 8-point pickguards, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions; operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.
