A Gibson Firebird V (5) with authentic, stylish shop-aged finish, manufactured in 1995.

The Firebird was introduced in 1963, designed by car designer Ray Dietrich. It features a reverse-body maple and wenge through-neck, mahogany body wings, a rosewood fingerboard, two mini humbuckers, and a wire TOM bridge.

With its unique shape and distinctive sound, this Firebird—featuring exceptionally high-quality aging—is a guitar that’s ready for live performances.

The strap pins are Jim Dunlop-style. The guitar faithfully reproduces the effects of aging, from the overall weather cracking and paint chipping to the cracks around the pickguard screws and warping caused by tightening, as well as the patina of the metal parts and knobs.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The fret heights are at a level suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening); it has been tested up to ±60° and is in good working order.
