USED Fender / Japan Exclusive Classic '70s Mustang with Rosewood Fingerboard, Sonic Blue [3.11 kg / Manufactured in 2016]

This is a Fender Japan Exclusive Classic '70s Mustang, manufactured in 2016.

This Japanese-made Mustang follows the traditional 1969-style specifications. It features a basswood body, a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and 22 frets. Controls include 1 volume, 1 tone, and on-off switches for each pickup. By setting the on-off switches for each pickup to the opposite positions, you can also produce a phase-out (out-of-phase) sound. This model’s appeal lies in the ease of handling provided by its short scale.

Originally designed as a student model, the Mustang has gained popularity for its unique playability and sound. Combined with the matching headstock, it has a charming appearance, making it a great choice for women with smaller frames.

The tremolo arm is missing, and there are signs of wear (including dents on the elbow section, scuffs, play marks, picking marks, and tarnished or pitted metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, and correction of floating frets). The naturally narrow fret tops have been leveled to a lower profile but remain at a height that poses no issues for playing. The truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions and has been tested to operate up to ±60° (currently set slightly tight).
