This Fender Custom Shop 1961 Relic Stratocaster, built in 2016, features an atmospheric relic finish that gives it a distinguished look.

This Relic Stratocaster features striking weather cracks and meticulous aging details that catch the eye.It features a lightweight alder body, a quarter-sawn maple neck with a Mid '60s oval “C” profile, a jet-black slab-grained rosewood fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, and three hand-wound pickups with black bobbins (H/W BP 10-3-16) (listed on the manufacturer’s website as Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special Single-Coil Strat),featuring vintage-modified wiring with Volume, Front & Center Tone, Rear Tone, and a 5-way selector switch.

This guitar captivates with its striking, dignified appearance and a tight, resilient tone.

The overall condition is good. While the relic finish makes it difficult to discern, we have determined that there are no large dents or scratches that appear to have been added later. Only the strap pins are brand-new. One latch on the hard case is broken.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested up to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
