USED Fender USA / American Special Stratocaster HSS Maple Fingerboard Black [3.70 kg / Manufactured in 2018]

This is a Fender USA American Special Stratocaster with an HSS configuration and a maple fingerboard, manufactured in 2018.

The American Special is a value-oriented series produced under the concept of “Bringing ‘Made in USA’ to More People.” It features an alder body, a maple neck with a large headstock, a 9.5R fingerboard, jumbo frets, two Texas Special Strat pickups and an Atomic Humbucking pickup, a Greasebucket Tone Circuit to prevent high-end roll-off when the volume is turned down, and a vintage-style tremolo.

While it’s on the more affordable end of the U.S.-made guitar market, its tone and playability rival those of higher-end models. It offers excellent playability and a rich variety of sounds thanks to its powerful humbucker and Texas Special single-coil pickups.

Signs of use are visible (multiple dents on the lower part of the body, minor scratches and scuffs, wear and playing marks, picking marks, a sheen on the back of the neck from playing, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been verified to function properly up to 60° in both directions.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
