2012年製、ジェイソン・スミスによるアルティメットレリックな56ST!
フェンダー社の伝説的なR&Dスタッフ ダン・スミスを父に持ち、名工ジョン・イングリッシュの愛弟子のジェイソン・スミス。
ボディは軽量なアッシュで、まさかの1pcs。トップグレードならではのチョイスです。またそのエイジングもマスタービルドグレードのみ採用が許される『Ultimate Relic』。豪快な塗装剥がれや打痕の演出は流石。
ネックはメイプル、木取りは追い柾目。ネックシェイプはVシェイプで、ハイポションは少し肉厚な雰囲気。指板面は9.5インチR、フレットサイズはミディアムジャンボです。
PUはアビゲイル・イバーラによるハンドワンドPUを搭載。直流抵抗値はネック側から、約5.6k、約5.9k、約6.2k。RWRPではないピュアなヴィンテージスタイルモデル。PUデイトは2012年製でオリジナルでのマウントです。
アルティメイトレリックですが、前オーナーにより遠慮なくプレイされております。ピックガードへのピッキングキズ、ボディバック右側コンター部分に色移りや塗装の劣化、ボディエンドストラップピン周りの打痕や黒ズミ等考えるとしっかり使われていた事が分かります。但しその激しいレリックと相まってあまり目立たずさほど気になりません。PUキャビティには導電塗料が施されており、アース線を追加しております。各ハードウェアには当時らしい激しいレリックの演出があり、それにプラスしてピックガードネジやPUマウントネジで劣化が進化している感じです。
ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ回せ調整可能です。フレットには目立つ弦痕等はなく、残り7割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。
全体的には前オーナーに遠慮なくプレイされているもののその使用感はアルティメイトレリックでさほど気になりません。PUチョイスは見た目通りのヴィンテージフィーリング。フレットサイズが少しモダンなだけのストレートアヘッドなヴィンテージスタイルモデルです。サウンドもオープンで淀みのないトーン。エッジも心地よいです!またマスビルモデルだけあって、軽量な1pcsアッシュボディは流石です!プレイヤーの方におススメの一本です

2012 Ultimate Relic 56ST by Jason Smith!
Jason Smith is the father of Fender's legendary R&D staff member Dan Smith and a favorite apprentice of master craftsman John English.
The body is lightweight ash, and is a top grade choice. The aging is "Ultimate Relic," which is only permitted for master-built grade guitars. The bold paint peeling and dents are a masterpiece.
The neck is made of maple, and the grain is quarter-sawn. The neck shape is V-shape, and the high-pochon is a little thicker. Fretboard surface is 9.5" R. Fret size is medium jumbo.
The PU is a handwound PU by Abigail Ibarra. DC resistance values are, from the neck side, approx. 5.6k, 5.9k, and 6.2k. pure vintage style model, not RWRP. 2012 PU date is the original mounting.
Ultimate Relic, but has been played without reservation by the previous owner. Pick scratches on the pickguard, color migration and paint deterioration on the contour area on the right side of the body back, dents and black spots around the strap pins at the end of the body, etc. show that the guitar has been well used. The PU cavity has conductive paint and a ground wire has been added. Each hardware has the intense relic effect typical of the period, plus the pickguard screws and PU mounting screws, which seem to have evolved the deterioration.
The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod is adjustable in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned and adjusted in the direction to tighten. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and there is about 70% remaining. The current string height is about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.
The PU choice is vintage feeling as it looks. It is a straight-ahead vintage style model with only a slightly modern fret size. The sound is open and has no stagnant tone. The edge is also comfortable! Lightweight 1pcs ash body is a must have for the Musbill model! Recommended for players!
