A YAMAHA SG-700 is in stock! Based on the serial number, we judge that it was made around 1978.
This model was released as a low-priced model, following the popularity of the SG-2000, which was made with the cooperation of Carlos Santana.
The SG-2000 had a through neck, but this model has a set neck, which gives it a tighter, edgier sound. In a sense, this model matches the modern tone of the current SGs, since the current SGs are made with a set neck.

The neck condition is currently fine. The truss rod has room in both directions.
There are some dents scattered in the lower center of the body back and in the contour area, but the overall impression is clean considering the age of the instrument.

カルロス・サンタナの協力の元作られたSG-2000の好評を受けて廉価なモデルとしてリリースされたモデルです。
SG-2000ではネックスルーだったところをセットネックへ変更し、よりタイトでエッジのたったサウンドとなっています。現行のSGがセットネックで作られていることからも、ある意味で現代的なトーンにマッチするモデルとなっていると言えるかもしれません。

ネックコンディションは現状問題ありません。トラスロッドは両方向に余裕があります。
ボディバック中央下部、コンター部に打痕が点在していますが、年式を考えると全体的には綺麗な印象です。
