2013, Ibanez Top Grade "RG8420ZD

Ibanez's top grade "J-Custom" series, the "RG" with Duncan PU and Edge Zero tremolo, which has been described as "synonymous" with Ibanez, is also known as "RG8420ZD"! The "Dark Lapis Lazuli" color is now in stock!

The body top is made of AAA grade flame maple with natural binding. The body back is made of African mahogany with rich mid-bass characteristics. The neck is 5pcs of maple & walnut, and KTS titanium bars are installed to ensure rigidity. The rosewood fingerboard features the "Tree Of Life" position inlay, one of the symbols of j.custom design, and the fret edges are treated with "Spherical Custom Treatment ". The original tremolo "Edge-Zero", which incorporates the Zero Point System (ZPS3) and features easy tuning and high stability, is installed. 100F in the rear. The pots and selector switches have also been replaced.

The body has scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dings. There are pick scratches near both PUs with a fine cloudy look. There is a rice grain sized ding on the lower right side of the bridge and a line scratch on the lower part of the bridge. There are also dents scattered around the lower outer edge of the body top. There are buckle scratches on the back plate of the body back, and dents, scratches, and peeling paint all around the outer edge of the body. The back of the neck has some fingernail marks that are not deep, and the back of the head has some paint peeling with dents, and there are also dents on the tip of the head that are the size of a grain of rice. The natural binding on both edges of the fingerboard is darkened from use, and there are faint finger marks on the fingerboard in the low and high positions. The bridge has been heavily polished to remove the signs of use, and the left edge has minor deformation with peeling of the plating. Other hardware has some signs of use and deterioration, but is in working order.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be adjusted by turning it slightly in the direction to tighten. There are no string marks on the frets and about 70% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, there are some signs of use and PU replacement, but the playability is good; you can replace the PU with your favorite one and use the top grade you have always dreamed of!

ボディトップにはAAAグレードのフレイムネイプルにナチュラルバインディングを採用。ボディバックには豊かな中低音域特性を持つアフリカン･マホガニーを採用しております。ネックはメイプル&ウォルナットの5pcsとなっており、KTSのチタンバーがインストールされ剛性感を確保。ローズウッド材指板にj.customデザインの象徴のひとつでもあるポジション･インレイ “Tree Of Life”を採用し、フレット･エッジを “球面カスタム･トリートメント”。ゼロ･ポイント･システム(ZPS3)を組み入れ、チューニングの容易さと高い安定度が特徴のオリジナル･トレモロ『Edge-Zero』を搭載。PUはオリジナルではSeymour Duncanを採用しておりますが、フロントはDimazioのDP152F、リアはDP100Fに交換されております。また各ポットとセレクタースイッチも交換されております。

ボディには拭きキズ、スリキズ、線キズ、打痕があります。両PU付近には細かく曇った感じでピックングキズがあります。ブリッジ右下には米粒大の打痕がゴツゴツとあり、ブリッジ下部には線キズがあります。またボディトップ外周エッジ下部を中心に打痕が点在しております。ボディバックバックプレート部分にはバックルキズがあり、外周エッジ部分には全体的に打痕やスリキズ、塗装剥がれがあります。ネック裏には全体的に深くはないものの爪痕があり、ヘッド裏には打痕を伴う塗装剥がれがあり、ヘッド先端部分にも米粒大の打痕があります。指板両エッジのナチュラルバインディング部分は使用により黒ずみがあり、指板面にはローポジションとハイポジションに薄っすらと指跡があります。ブリッジ部分は使用感を消す為に激しく磨かれており、左側エッジ部分にはメッキ剥がれを伴う軽微な変形があります。他ハードウェアにも使用感や劣化はありますが動作には問題ありません。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能で、締める方向にまだ少し回せ調整可能です。フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは7割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的にはPU交換や使用感等ありますが、プレイアビリティは良好です。PUをお気に入りのものに交換して憧れのトップグレードをガンガン使うのもいいですね!
