Made in 2021, 50s style ST by Master Builder Apprentice!

The "Master Builder Apprentice" logo on the back of the head translates to "Master Builder Apprentice". In other words, it is the work of the next Master Builder Apprentice.
The neck joint is signed by Tony Corona, and "TC" is stamped on the neck side PU cavity.

The body is made of relatively light ash with 2pcs center. The body is made of relatively lightweight ash with a 2pcs center body, and has been aged vigorously and realistically as it is a heavy-relic. The paint job is not too sticky and gives a nice impression. The weather checks are also subtle but realistic, and I honestly felt that this is a good builder.

The neck is high-grade maple with the best quarter-sawn grain I've ever seen, and I've seen a few of Tony's works that feature this dark, candy-colored neck. The back of the neck is gorgeous, original and stripped with zero stickiness. The fingerboard surface has no bumps or peeling paint, which is surprisingly not a problem. Fingerboard surface is 9.5-12 compound radius. Fret is 6105 Narrow Tall, which is a little bit modernized while still keeping the vintage look. The neck shape is 60s Style Oval C, which is a little thicker than the original. The PU is an original hand-wound HW50s STRAT, with DC resistance values of approx. 5.9k, 5.8k, and 6.0k from the neck side, not RWRP specification, but vintage style. On the back side, there is the signature of that Josefina, which gives it a more than premium feel. Controls are the usual 5-way: master vol, neck PU tone, and middle & bridge PU tone.

Although it has aged vigorously, we consider it to be lightly used by the looks of the fretboard surface and the back of the neck. The only minor signs of use are a slight abrasion to remove the previous owner's string marks when it arrived, and the PU mount rubber was replaced.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned and adjusted in the direction to tighten. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and about 90% of the frets remain. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

This is a wonderfully finished piece that gives the impression that it has plenty of potential to become a future master builder. Not only its aging, but also its playing feel is unmistakable! The open sound of the ash body is clear and organic, just like a Fender! This is a masterpiece that has earned a good reputation in the market and is on its way to becoming a master builder. This is a must have for all Custom Shop fans!
