USED Schecter / ST Type 90s Walnut [10]

90's Japanese made, walnut body & neck ST model!

Pot date is 87, and the serial number is 93XXX, so we judge it was made in Japan in the 90's. The body is 2pcs walnut center, and the neck is the same.
The body is 2pcs walnut center, and the neck is walnut as well. Both are finished in oil with black plastic parts and gold hardware, which was the dominant look at the time.
The neck is thin overall, with a nut width of approximately 42mm and medium jumbo frets. The fingerboard is ebony and finished at 12 inches.
The PU is equipped with the well-known Monster Tone. Controls are 5-way, Master Vol, Master Tone, and the bottom knob is a push-pull switch for coil tapping.
The saddle is of course brass and produces a sweet and characteristic tone output.

The body has scratches, line scuffs, and dings. The pickguard has some pick scratches with a fine clouded look. There are scuffs and line scratches on the upper left side of the body top. There is also a scratch on the side of the jack plate that looks like the tip of a cable was hit against it. There is a ding on the lower right side of the body, the size of a grain of rice. There are scratches and lines on the lower right side of the body, and scratches on the lower left side of the body. There are some buckle scratches on the back of the body, back panel, and its upper right side. There is discoloration on the back of the neck on the 7th, 8th, and 9th F treble string side, and there are some fingernail marks all over the back of the neck. There are some scratches on the tip of the head. All hardware shows signs of use and deterioration of plating, but is commensurate with the age of the instrument.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and about 70% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F).

Overall, there are a few noticeable buckle scratches, but other than that, there is no noticeable damage and the guitar is considered to be appropriate for its age. The discoloration on the back of the neck is also due to use.

The truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, but there is not much left in the direction to tighten.
