The Standard Series D-18, which underwent a minor change around 2017, is now available with a vintage-style appearance that looks like a model change, but with modernized playability, including the neck grip shape. The head plate logo features an old-style decal with a script old-style overlay, and the specs have been updated around 2017 with new materials and details, such as butter bean knobs and nickel open gear machine heads. The version with the renewed materials and details around 2017.

The overall condition of the instrument, including the exterior, is that of a clean, beautiful, almost unused and unplayed condition. There are no noticeable scratches or scuffs on any part of the body. Also, the pickguard is in good condition with no traces of picking or scratching, which tends to occur. Therefore, it may have been carefully stored in the hard case that came with the instrument.

However, the four seasons in Japan are very harsh in recent years. Although it is only in its sixth year of age, the weather conditions that change frequently during the year may be a factor, and we can confirm that the binding on the waist of the body is peeling and the paint film is uneven due to the thinning of the cellular material, and that there are some minor cracks on the surface layer of the binding on the body back side near the neck joint. The binding peeling has already been repaired by professional repair work, but the extra correction of the finish paint film has not been done, so you may feel some paint film bumps. However, you will not feel any sound changes caused by the paint film correction, so the light but distinctive D-18 is still there. So it may have been inevitable aging damage under the annual weather conditions during the aging period. Of course, no wood damage can be seen, so you won't feel any negative effects on the play or sound.

Neck condition is currently fine.
There is plenty of truss rod to spare.

2017年頃にマイナーチェンジを行い、外観はモデルチェンジしたかのようなビンテージスタイルなのに、ネックグリップ形状などのプレイアビリティをモダンに仕上げたスタンダードシリーズのD-18が入荷いたしました。ヘッドプレート･ロゴにはスクリプト･オールド･スタイル･オーバーレイのオールド･スタイル･デカールの採用やバタービーン･ノブとニッケル･オープン･ギアのマシーン・ヘッドの搭載など、スペックにつきましては2017年頃にリニューアルされたマテリアルやディテールが採用されてるバージョンとなります。

外観などの総体コンディションでございますが、ほぼほぼ未使用の未演奏に近い清潔な美品コンディションの個体と感じられます。本体の各部位に目立つ打ちキズやスリキズは感じられない美しさかと。また、ピックガードに発生しがちなピッキング･スクラッチの痕跡も感じられないコンディションでございます。なので、専用付属ハードケース内で大切に保管されていたのかもしれません。

でも、近年の日本の四季は過酷でございます。経年期間は6年目なのですが、年間の気象状況が変化に富む状況下が要因なのか、ボディのウエスト部位バインディングにセル系素材の痩せに伴います剥がれや塗膜段差の発生、ネックジョイント付近ボディ･バック側バインディングの表層塗膜に些少なクラック発生が確認できます。バインディング剥がれの修復はプロリペア作業にて対応済みでございますが、フィニッシュ塗膜の余分な補正は行われていませんので多少の塗膜段差は感じられるかもしれません。でも、塗膜補正などが要因のサウンド変化は感じられませんので、軽やかなのに際立ってるD-18は健在ですよ。なので、経年期間中の年間気象の条件下では必然な経年ダメージだったのかもしれません。もちろん木部ダメージは確認できませんのでプレイやサウンドに悪影響は感じられませんよ。
