MUSICMAN's Eddie Van Halen Signature is in stock! We have determined from the serial number that it was made in 1993.
This model was produced only between 1991 and 1995. After Eddie left MUSICMAN, it was lined up under the name AXIS, and EX is known to have been manufactured in Japan. In the process, the pickup selector position was changed, a back contour was added, and the body back material was changed from basswood to alder for the EX.
The saturated low frequency range is superior to the basswood-back USA-made version, and the sound is more Eddie-like.
The distinctive asymmetrical neck grip is also adopted, of course. It has a phenomenal level of playability, and is a particularly good match for playing technical playing with a smile on your face, just like Eddie.
The neck is made of figured maple that leaves a strong impression, making it a visually pleasing piece as well.
The control is a volume control, but the knob is printed with "TONE". This is a point where Eddie's playful spirit can be glimpsed.
The neck is currently straight with no problems. The truss rod has room in both directions. There are dents and scratches scattered throughout.
One pickup mounting screw has a flat head and three pickup mounting screws have a flat head. There is a mark on the back of the neck where the finish changes on the head side, which looks like liquid dripping.

Neck condition is currently fine.
There is enough room for truss rod.
About 80% frets remaining.
String height on the 12th fret: 6th string side: approx. 2.0mm, 1st string side: approx. 1.5mm
