A 1991 Gibson Dove in excellent playing condition!

A 1991 Gibson USA Dove has arrived in stock.
This is an officially imported model from the distributor at the time (Yamano Music).
This guitar has never been modified and remains in its original condition.
At the time, the Dove model was not regularly produced with pickups installed, making this a rare specimen where the original wooden endpin and wooden bridge pins are still intact!

Main Repairs Performed
・Re-gluing of detached back and top bracing: Re-gluing of bracing numbers 1, 3, and 4
・Reattachment of the detached bridge
・Fret replacement & new nut installation: Jescar #45100 NS & unbleached oil-bone
・Saddle fabrication and replacement: Unbleached oil-bone
・Truss rod cover: Reinforcement and re-gluing of the cracked section of the rod cover & repair of the mounting holes

Overall Condition
・This instrument has reached its 35th year of age. Its exterior condition shows signs of damage across the entire body resulting from years of play and handling. The scattered scratches and dents may evolve into a mature, well-worn appearance as the instrument continues to be played and used. However, there is no major wood damage or critical defects.
・Gaps have formed in the lacquer coating at the joints of the three-piece neck due to lacquer shrinkage caused by aging. Additionally, there are minor cracks in the lacquer coating across the entire body and some damage near the binding; however, these are all due to the natural aging of the lacquer finish and should be considered part of the instrument’s evolution toward the character of a vintage U.S.-made guitar.
・The tuning machines are original period parts—German-made Gibson Deluxe models manufactured by Schaller as OEM—but the shafts of the tuning machine buttons have developed some play and reduced torque due to age; however, the guitar remains tunable. We have not replaced them, as they are still in usable condition and we respect their status as original parts. (*Please note that the installed tuning machines are not covered by the used guitar warranty.)
・Repairs have been made to address issues with the bracing and bridge; the frets have been replaced with top-tier USA-made frets; and a new cowbone nut and saddle have been crafted and installed. As a result, the playability and sound have been transformed to a level far surpassing the condition of the guitar when it was first received as a used instrument. It has been fully restored to excellent “player’s condition”!
