A C.F. Martin 000-18 has arrived. It was manufactured in 2021.
While there are scattered dents and scuffs on various parts of the body, there are no prominent scratches, and it retains a clean appearance.
There are pick scratches around the soundhole, including on the pickguard.
The neck has developed a sheen due to the friction typical of a satin finish.

There are also slight marks from the capotasto.
A crack in the clear lacquer coating can be seen on the top of the body near the 19th fret on the G-string side; however, since this area is reinforced with a sturdy neck block and thick bracing glued to the interior, this crack is an inevitable result of aging due to the nature of the relatively thin lacquer coating.
No damage to the wood has been found, and these cracks do not interfere with playability.

Cracks caused by paint thinning can be seen around the binding on the body back and sides; however, since this is a lacquer finish, this is a natural part of the aging process.
The plating on the open-back gear machine heads (pegs, tuning pegs) shows some tarnish.
The faux tortoise shell pattern on the pickguard appears relatively light in color.
This model attracts many fans with its relatively compact body size, shorter scale length, and the light, airy tone produced by the mahogany.
