A pristine Gibson Hummingbird Standard has arrived.
It was manufactured as recently as 2021.
Rather than the typical striking red sunburst finish, this model features a vintage sunburst—a look that’s surprisingly different from the typical Hummingbird image—but it feels refreshingly new, and the Hummingbird-patterned pickguard really stands out.
The body isn’t made of any exotic materials—it features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, a mahogany neck, an Indian rosewood fingerboard, and a rosewood bridge—so you can rest assured it delivers the classic, authentic sound of a standard Gibson acoustic guitar!

Overall Condition
Although this is a relatively recent model, it is, after all, a used instrument and is by no means in like-new condition.
The nickel-plated tuning pegs, which tend to tarnish easily, show some signs of discoloration; however, over time, this will develop into the kind of charming patina found on vintage guitar hardware, so just imagining that might get you excited.
Since the burst sections are a deep navy blue, you can see some scuffs, various scratches, and minor paint damage, but there are only a handful of them if you try to count them.
Furthermore, there are no signs of major wood damage or critical defects, and I can’t help but feel that this is a well-maintained instrument.
There are very few signs of heavy use, and there are few noticeable impact marks, so it’s clear this instrument has been handled with care.
