For customers residing in Japan
This semi-acoustic was Yamaha's top-of-the-line model at the time.
The semi-hollow construction with a center block provides both an airy semi-acoustic sound and stable sustain similar to that of a solid guitar.
The set neck construction and ebony fretboard give the impression of a smooth sound with a core midrange that is well forward. The original humbucker pickups have a sound that is both sweet and fat, with a calm and glossy tone when clean, and a sticky 70s tone when driven. It has enough nostalgia for jazz, blues, and of course rock.
This is a guitar with the careful craftsmanship typical of Japanese vintage guitars and the sound of wood that cannot be found in current models, and stands out for its high degree of perfection compared to foreign semi-acoustic guitars of the same age.
The gold parts have some chinks, and there are overall signs of use such as minor scratches and small dents, but considering its age, it is in good condition.
The neck is slightly wavy. There are no problems with the current playing condition.
Item Rank: B+: Some scratches, but no problems in normal use.
