The Tokai LC-98S combines the high craftsmanship of a Japanese-made Les Paul Custom with the style of a Les Paul Custom. The mahogany body and set neck construction provides rich sustain, and the maple top adds a core response for a thick, viscous tone.
The front pickups are the original PAF pickups, producing a sweet, warm, and thick sound. The rear pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 (JB), which produces a rock sound with a strong midrange push and good punch when driven. It is easy to handle from clean to distorted, and has a practical sound balance. This Japanese Les Paul type guitar has a fearless look reminiscent of a black beauty, and looks great on stage regardless of the genre of music.
There are some scratches, dents, and dull parts.
The neck is in good playing condition.
