The BB3000 debuted in 1982 as the flagship model of the BB series.

Featuring a through-neck construction combining maple and mahogany with an alder body, it delivers high rigidity and excellent response. Equipped with a reverse P-type pickup in the front and a bar-blade-type single-coil pickup in the rear, it handles a wide range of sounds, from thick, full-bodied bass to well-defined tones. It also features high-end specifications unique to that era, such as a brass nut and brass bridge, which contribute to long sustain and a stable tone.

Combining the rich sustain and powerful bass of the through-neck construction with a clear tonal image, this iconic model—a flagship of the BB series—excels across genres, from rock and fusion to jazz.

This instrument has been converted to a fretless configuration.
The 2nd-string tuner produces a slight grinding noise when turned due to a reduction in internal grease, but this does not interfere with normal use, such as tuning.
There are differences in the resistance when turning the various knobs. The master tone knob turns more smoothly.
There are several areas of paint chipping on the neck. Some of the metal parts show signs of plating wear.
There are scattered scratches and dents, and the instrument shows some signs of wear.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
