A violin bass reproduced in the quality of the golden age of domestic copying.
This classic violin bass is based on the Hofner 500/1, and its lightweight semi-hollow body and short scale make it easy to handle, while the round, warm bass tone is appealing. The soft, boxy tone blends naturally with 60s rock and pop music, as well as singing backgrounds.
Based on serial number K825447, we estimate that it was manufactured around November 1982. It has solid construction and stable playability, as if it were a model from the time when the domestic copy culture was matured. With its unique looks and light playing comfort, you can fully enjoy the character that is typical of violin basses.
This is one that combines the atmosphere and practicality typical of vintage Japan. Recommended for those seeking a classic bass tone, including a Beatles-type sound.
Pickguard is missing. Knob has been replaced.
Head is cracked and there is a mark where it was glued. There are many dents and paint chips on the neck and head.
