A simple, tasteful short-scale bass emblematic of Fender's 1970s student models.
With an S8 serial number and pot dates indicating 1980 manufacture, this unit can be identified as a late-production 1980 model.
Despite its extremely simple configuration—a 30-inch short scale and a single pickup—it charms with its rounded, lively bass and a somewhat lo-fi character. It also features soft tension and excellent playability.
Its appearance features a wine red finish that highlights the wood grain's natural character. Combined with the calm texture of the rosewood fingerboard, it possesses a distinctly vintage atmosphere.
Although positioned as an entry-level model at the time, the Musicmaster Bass is now being reevaluated for its unique sound and looks, making it a highly popular series among vintage enthusiasts seeking individuality.
The body back has paint chips and numerous linear scratches.
Overall paint deterioration is visible. Additionally, some minor scuffs and dents are present.
The neck shows no significant issues and is in good playing condition.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches present, but no issues for normal use.
