A vintage reissue model that brings the legendary 4001 back to its 1963 specifications.
The classic combination of a toaster top and horseshoe pickups delivers both the hard, punchy attack characteristic of Rickenbackers and a solid, well-defined bass response. Its lightning-fast attack when played with a pick and its commanding presence within a band ensemble are truly one-of-a-kind.

Other highlights include the rich sustain provided by the through-neck construction and the bright, well-defined tone produced by the maple-based body and neck. The understated 4001S style (no binding, dot inlays) gives it a classic, stoic look.
It’s a highly practical instrument that maintains a vintage aesthetic.

This instrument was manufactured in 2000, the year production ended, making it a so-called "final-run" model.
The fender for the horseshoe pickup is missing.
There is a repaired crack at the neck joint.
Reinforcement material has been installed inside the front pickup cavity.
The finish on the neck grip has deteriorated. There are also some minor scratches and dents, and it shows some signs of use.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
