USED BOSS / CE-1 Chorus Ensemble [11]

The CE-1 was BOSS’s first effects pedal and the world’s first “chorus pedal.”
This unit, which directly transposed the chorus circuit used in the Roland JC series into a pedal, is still renowned today for its sound, which possesses a breadth and depth that remains unmatched. In addition to a rich, three-dimensional chorus, it features a smoothly modulating vibrato, producing simple yet highly refined modulation.

Based on the serial number (056463), power cord (1981), and markings on the internal transformer (022-0880 1CY 8), this unit is estimated to be a late-production model manufactured around 1981. It belongs to a period renowned for stable operation and well-balanced sound.
Although there is minor paint peeling and small scratches on the panel, the condition is good considering its age.
