Washburn N4 Ash PWS. This model bears the "Made in USA" stamp and is positioned at the top of the N4 series' production lineup. The body is crafted from ash, resulting in a design that stands out for its light attack and excellent high-end clarity.
It features the classic N4 configuration with a Seymour Duncan pickup in the neck position and a Bill Lawrence L-500 in the bridge position. The neck pickup delivers a thick, smooth clean and crunch tone, while the bridge pickup produces a high-gain tone with sharp attack and excellent separation, making it highly versatile for everything from rhythm work to lead playing.
The direct response characteristic of a U.S.-made guitar, combined with the speed inherent to an ash body, gives this model a particularly crisp and cutting tone—even among N4 guitars. This is a model we highly recommend to players seeking a practical, rock-oriented sound.
There are signs of use, including scratches, dents, and some discoloration or rust on parts.
There is some warping in the neck; we have performed a setup including truss rod adjustment, but
there is some slight buzzing when played unplugged, though it is not noticeable when played through an amp.
