A sleek look paired with a robust rock tone... A battle-tested Les Paul Custom equipped with Shaw PAFs

A 1982 Les Paul Custom. In addition to classic, high-end features like a mahogany back and maple top, an ebony fingerboard, and multi-binding, this guitar features a three-piece maple neck characteristic of this era. It offers solid rigidity and a tight response, with rich sustain and a full-bodied tone born from its substantial body. It’s not just about its elegant appearance—it also possesses reliable potential from a player’s perspective.

It is equipped with the so-called Shaw PAF pickups, stamped with “PAT.NO.” These are an authentic pair—a 392 in the front and a 393 in the rear—making for a historically accurate configuration.Designed to avoid excessive high-end gain, it excels in attack speed and separation, delivering a lustrous, deep tone in clean settings while balancing a resilient midrange with excellent clarity when driven. Combined with the well-defined character derived from the maple neck, it produces a practical sound that won’t get lost even within a band ensemble.

The Nashville bridge and sturdy hardware ensure stable pitch and playability, while retaining the substantial look and presence unique to the Les Paul Custom. This is not merely a collector’s item; it’s a guitar that truly reveals its true value only when played extensively. With its looks, sound, and historical context exquisitely intertwined, it is an attractive piece for both players and collectors alike.
There are signs of repair on the back of the headstock that appear to be touch-ups; while we cannot be certain, it does not appear to be a neck break, but rather a repair to the finish or a minor crack in the wood.
The body binding has shrunk, creating a slight step between the binding and the finish.
There is some paint chipping on the back of the headstock near the 4th string peg. Additionally, there are signs of wear, including overall discoloration, scratches, dents, and tarnished or rusted parts.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.

ピックアップにはPAT.NO.
