USED Fender Japan / TL52-65 Charcoal Burst [11]

The TL52-65 by Fender Japan, a recreation of the '52-spec Telecaster from the E-serial era.
With a neck serial number of E830375, this is an early Fender Japan model believed to have been manufactured around 1984–87.

It features a distinctive look with a Charcoal Burst finish; the brown-toned body showcases the wood grain, and the variegated coloring gives it a unique vibe that sets it apart from standard Telecasters. It follows the classic ’52-style design with a maple neck, maple fingerboard, and a three-saddle bridge—a simple, quintessentially Telecaster configuration.

In addition to the vintage charm unique to early Fender Japan models, the Charcoal Burst finish—which is rarely seen today—makes this a truly appealing guitar.
The bridge plate is a Fender-made part with an “A” serial number (A020453), and a separate Fender bridge plate without a serial number is also included. It is unclear which one was originally installed. The included bridge plate without a serial number shows signs of rust, verdigris, and discoloration due to age; as it is significantly deteriorated, we are including it as an accessory rather than replacing it.

The pickguard is warped and curved.
There is some deterioration in the finish’s texture, as well as minor scuffs and dents, but no particularly noticeable damage is visible.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
