The ZON “Sonus 4” 4-string electric bass catches the eye with its unique body shape and distinctive wood grain.

The body is crafted from alder, paired with a quilted maple top featuring a beautiful grain pattern. The three-tone sunburst finish accentuates the quilted grain, and combined with the distinctive body contours, it creates a striking appearance.

The neck is made of composite material, and the fingerboard features Phenowood. This material composition, which differs from traditional wood-based basses, reflects ZON’s unique design philosophy throughout the instrument. The 24-fret configuration allows for playing across a wide range of pitches.

It is equipped with two Bartolini pickups. The blend control allows you to adjust the balance between the front and rear pickups, enabling you to shape the sound to your liking.

The preamp is the Bartolini NTMB-918F. In addition to master volume and blend controls, it features a three-band equalizer with bass, midrange, and treble controls. Each frequency band—from low to high—can be adjusted independently, allowing for precise sound shaping tailored to specific songs and performance environments.

In addition to its unique design, this instrument reflects a meticulous attention to detail—from its appearance and material selection to its electronics—featuring a composite neck, Bartolini pickups, and a robust active circuit.
One of the screws on the back panel is a different type.
A dry scraping sound occurs when turning the 4-string tuners. There is a scuff mark at the edge of the body back.
Other than that, there are some minor scratches and dents, but no particularly noticeable damage.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
