Just as the Showa Headway was developed with a design that suited the era when it was first released, the Heisei Headway 500 series was released with the same positioning concept.
The 500 series is a dreadnought style, but it was designed for fingerpicking, and as a result, there are few similarities between the Showa and Heisei models, but the concept is the same.
The scalloped advanced rear-shift X bracing is one of Headway's most famous Top structures, and the neck grip, nut material, and even the frets have been meticulously crafted.
The conversion endpin, battery holder on the neck block, and wiring hooks on the sides are included by default, making this a very good choice for pickup installation.
The truss rod wrench is also easily accessible from the normal sound hole side instead of the conventional special shape.
The sound is not unlike a Headway? The sound is not hard, but soft and responsive even with a light touch.
The fact that it can be played without feeling extremely tight despite the rear-shift X bracing is a product of the relentless pursuit of various patterns.

The condition is as follows: there are some scratches and dents on the top surface, which can be felt as a bump on the paint surface near the first string under the bridge.
Other than that, there are only minor scratches and a few fingernail scratches on the back of the neck, giving the impression that the top surface has been accidentally hit by something.
A mono Gig Bag is also included, although it is not genuine.

昭和ヘッドウェイが発売当初、その時代に合った設計デザインで開発されたのと同様、平成ヘッドウェイにても同じ位置感をコンセプトにリリースされた500シリーズ。
ドレッドノートスタイルですがフィンガーピッキングに向くスタイルを追求、その結果、昭和物と平成物では類似点が少ないもののコンセプトが同じ、というなかなか面白いカテゴライズです。
スキャロップドアドバンスドリアシフトXのブレーシングというヘッドウェイの一つの代名詞的Top構造を筆頭に、ネックグリップ、ナット材、フレットまで細かく拘り抜かれたモデルです。
因みにコンバージョン・エンドピンとネックブロックのバッテリーホルダー、サイド材の配線固定フックはデフォルトで付いており、ピックアップの取り付けを前提とした選定に非常に適しています。
トラスロッドレンチも従来の特殊形状ではなくノーマルなサウンドホール側から容易にアクセス出来る仕様です。
サウンドはたしかにヘッドウェイらしからぬ？硬質さが無い、軽いタッチでも柔らかく反応してくれる、そんな印象を受けます。
リアシフトXブレーシングにも関わらずタイトさを極端に感じること無く鳴らせるのは、さずが様々なパターンの飽くなき追求による産物です。

コンディションは、Top面ブリッジ下1弦寄りに段差を感じる塗装面の強い打痕、掻き傷があります。
他は軽微な擦れ、ネック裏の僅かな爪傷程度ですので、Top面だけ何かうっかり当ててしまった印象です。
非純正ですがmono Gig Bag付属も嬉しいところです。
