USED Fender USA / American Special 90s Telecaster Thinline 1998 Crimson Transparent [12]

A very rare Telecaster Thinline is now in stock.
This model was manufactured for a short period of time between 1997 and 2000 as part of the American Special series.
The serial number indicates 1997, but based on the neck date, we believe it was made in 1998.

It has a semi-hollow ash body with double binding, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets, and a see-through red color with wood grain and pearloid pickguard for a cool look.

American Standard pickups are equipped, and the bridge saddle, originally a die-cast 6-row saddle, has been replaced with a 3-row In-Tune saddle.

The original metal control knobs have been replaced with white plastic knobs to match the pickguard.
The capacitor has been replaced with an orange drop, and the pickguard screws closest to the body end have been replaced.

There are signs that the pegs have been replaced with other ones, but the original pegs are currently installed.
There is a large scuff on the back of the body, and there are also scratches and dings scattered throughout the body.
The strap pin has been replaced with a Schaller locking pin, but the strap side parts are missing.
The parts have been replaced and the instrument is slightly used, but it has been maintained and cleaned at our repair center and is in good playability.
