USED PHILIP KUBICKI / EX FACTOR 4 BASS 1994 White [12]

This bass was developed by Philip Kubiki, who had worked for Fender, and was released in 1985 with full of innovative features.

It has a so-called headless structure without pegs, but with the unique "STRING CLIP" system, it can be instantly switched to DROP-D tuning.

The ergonomically designed body shape makes it comfortable to play both standing and seated.
The alder body has flat characteristics with no sonic peculiarities, and the multi-layered maple neck/ebony fingerboard has a 23-fret specification.

As with other headless basses, an original bridge design was developed with tuning on the bridge side.
By turning the large knob at the rear of the bridge, a gear-like cam winds up/loosens the strings for tuning.

Pickups and preamps are also originally developed. A covered-type passive pickup and a preamp driven by 18V are built into the circuit.
It has a volume/balance stack knob, a bass boost/treble boost stack knob, and a 6-way rotary switch.
In addition to mute (standby), the rotary switch has two active modes and three passive modes, with treble/bass boost control in active mode.

The EX FACTOR BASS is still manufactured at the USA factory, but only a limited number of specialty stores in Japan are selling new units, and the number of used units in circulation is extremely small.
