A Custom Shop Stratocaster with 1956 specs!
The Time Machine Series, introduced in 2003, faithfully reproduces the specifications of vintage guitars using the techniques of the era and features three different aging patterns. The model we’ve just received is a NOS (New Old Stock) version that recreates the condition of a brand-new guitar from 1956.

The period from 1956 to 1957 marked a transitional phase where the body material shifted from ash to alder and the string guide changed from round to wave-shaped. However, this Sunburst model recreates the specifications from the era when alder bodies and round string guides were used.

The neck is made of one-piece maple and features a soft V-shape, just like the originals, with a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius and vintage-style narrow frets.

It is equipped with a Crosswire Custom Shop Original pickup, delivering a vintage tone.
Overall, there are some scuffs and small scratches, a few dents, and some tarnish on some of the metal parts. The frets have been filed down and have about 7/10 of their original height remaining; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
* The tremolo arm is missing.
