The FREEDOM 5-string bass has arrived.
This 5-string JB-style model is crafted by Freedom Custom Guitar Research, a Tokyo-based guitar workshop that enjoys the trust of professional musicians.

By combining a traditional form with FREEDOM’s unique specifications, this model blends traditional and modern elements to create a more user-friendly instrument.

It features an alder body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with binding, featuring a slab-style board with dot inlays.
The headstock shape is based on the original design used before the current model was updated, emphasizing a more traditional aesthetic.
Another key feature is the use of paddle-style tuners.

Equipped with a 5-string JB-type pickup and an original active preamp, it offers a wide range of sounds suitable for various genres and styles.
There are scattered scratches and dents on the back of the body, and there are paint chips around the cutaway on the G-string side and near the body end on the E-string side.
While it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
