USED Fender Japan / Stratocaster ST-650SPL Black [12]

We've received a shipment of the rare ST-650SPL model.
Although it is a Fender Japan model manufactured by Fujigen, it strongly reflects the characteristics of the USA-made American Standard series.

Although there is no serial number on the neck end, a stamp indicating a 1984 manufacture date can be seen on the neck.
The neck end bears a stamp from Mr. Harvie Gastelum, known as a legend in Fender neck craftsmanship, and since the truss rod wrench is inch-sized, this model was likely produced by repurposing a neck from a U.S.-made American Standard guitar and combining it with a Fender Japan body and assembly.

Although the neck itself was manufactured in 1984, it did not appear in Fender Japan’s catalog until 1991, when it was released as a limited edition.

The bridge is an American Standard-type two-point support design with die-cast saddles, and the tuning pegs are the same parts used in the American Standard series of that era, making this a model that combines a traditional look with modern specifications.
There are numerous scratches and dents scattered throughout the body, and the hardware shows some tarnish.
Although it shows signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is good.
