USED Paul Reed Smith (PRS) / KID Limited / Wood Library Custom 24 Flame Maple Neck, Manufactured in 2015, Faded Whale Blue [12]

A limited-edition CUSTOM 24, ordered by our former import agent, has arrived.
This 2015 CUSTOM 24 features special specifications and was ordered by KORG IMPORT DIVISION (KID), which served as the official importer in Japan for many years.
As indicated on the bird tag, this guitar was ordered through the Wood Library program and is a special model crafted from wood carefully selected from PRS headquarters’ lumber warehouse.

The body features a flamed maple top and mahogany back—the standard CUSTOM 24 configuration—but the neck is a Pattern Regular-shaped maple neck, and the fingerboard is made of flamed maple.

The rosewood headstock veneer and high-quality abalone inlays are specifications unique to this limited-edition model, ordered directly through a distributor.

It is equipped with two 57/08 pickups, developed in 2008, and is characterized by a vintage-inspired sound reminiscent of legendary humbucker pickups.

Instead of the standard 5-way blade switch common in 2015, the pickup selector is a 5-way rotary switch—a deliberate choice that appeals to PRS fans.
While opinions may vary on its usability, the adoption of PRS’s unique 5-way rotary switch pays homage to past models.

The color of the body top is likely “Faded Whale Blue,” but since it has faded significantly, the official color name is unknown.

Unlike the standard mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard configuration, this guitar features a tone with a well-defined contour, resulting in a crisp, clean sound.
There are fine dents between the pickups, and the back of the body has several linear scratches.
Overall, there are scattered fine scuffs and dents, and the hardware has a dull finish.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
