USED YAMAHA / SG2000MT, manufactured in 1998 Lagoon Blue [12]

We’ve received a new shipment of SG guitars that fully embody Masayoshi Takano’s meticulous attention to detail.
This Takano model SG features “Lagoon Blue,” a color inspired by the ocean.
As the original embodiment of Takana’s signature fat, deep sound—boasting ultra-long sustain—this model epitomizes the history shared by Takana and Yamaha.

Mr. Takana’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the truss rod cover bearing the “TAKANAKA” logo and the original humbuckers featuring USA-made Alnico magnets selected by Mr. Takana himself, to the screw hole marks on the body-top pickguard.

Featuring a maple top/mahogany back body and a maple/mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard in a through-neck construction, this model is designed to deliver ultra-long sustain thanks to the sustain block installed beneath the bridge.
While there are some fine scratches and minor dents overall, it shows minimal signs of use and is in good condition.
It has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
