One of the guitars from the so-called "Norlin era," which began in 1969 when Norlin became the parent company.
Unlike today’s Les Pauls, it features a mahogany back and body with a three-piece plain maple top in a “pancake” construction and a gently curved body top.
It features a three-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard—the standard wood configuration for the late 1970s.
Another characteristic of this era is the sunburst finish applied to various areas, such as the volute on the headstock and neck, the back of the neck, and the sides of the headstock.
Both the front and rear pickups are original, stamped-numbered PAFs.
The capacitors and pots have been replaced; the capacitors are Bumblebee capacitors, and the volume pot is dated R13794 (manufactured in 1994), while the tone pot is dated R13793 (manufactured in 1993).

There is extensive paint peeling on the back of the headstock, the back of the neck, and throughout the body, and there are cracks in the neck and body binding.
A gap has formed in the pancake-structured area on the side of the body near the jack, and there are marks where the paint has reacted and appears scorched.
Some plastic parts are cracked, and the metal parts show tarnish and rust.
There is age-related wear, weather checking, and numerous scratches, dents, paint cracks, and dents across the entire instrument, giving it a somewhat heavy-use appearance.
