A breakthrough in sound pioneered by its original shape—the Iceman Bass—
With its striking body design—a blend of straight lines and curves, sharp angles and rounded contours—the Iceman is one of Ibanez’s original shapes that has remained in production since its debut in the 1970s.
The ICB620 & ICB720FM are not merely classic instruments; they go beyond that, combining the Iceman’s unique character with the specifications demanded by today’s bass players, making them true workhorses for the stage.

Okume Wood ICB-Shaped Body
The body is crafted from Okoumé wood, which not only offers sound characteristics such as rich mid-low frequencies and a warm tone but also features a texture and grain similar to mahogany.
Ibanez’s original ICB-shaped body, featuring contours at the elbow and on the back of the body, provides a more comfortable fit than its appearance suggests.

MR5S Mono-Rail Bridge
Each string is supported by an independent bridge, allowing string vibration to be transmitted directly to the body.
In addition, the saddles can be moved ±1.5 mm left and right, allowing you to adjust the spacing between strings (string spacing) as desired within the range of motion.
This allows for fine-tuning to suit your playing style.

Maple (3-piece) neck, Pangapanga fingerboard
Maple, a popular choice for necks due to its hardness, high strength, and acoustic characteristics rich in attack and sustain, is used for the neck.
The fingerboard is made of Panga Panga wood, which is hard and adds a clear core to the sound.

Ibanez Custom Electronics 2-band EQ
This active EQ allows for high/low 2-band equalization and is ideal for simple, intuitive tone shaping.

Bartolini BH2 Pickups
It is equipped with a Bartolini BH2 pickup, characterized by a tight low end, rich midrange, and a well-balanced, warm response.
It is particularly well-suited for players seeking a modern bass sound that requires overall volume and sound pressure—especially in the low to mid-range—as well as balance and power for both pick and fingerstyle playing.
