Based on this solid concept, we aim to create a “new kind of bass” unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
To reexamine our own basses with a clear theme in mind and craft “basses that make your heart race even more.”
And, together with bassists who share this vision, to broaden the scope of the joy of playing.
That is the Ibanez Bass Workshop project.

~Features~
5-Piece Maple/Jatoba Neck
The 5-piece neck, constructed from a combination of maple and jatoba, offers superior strength and stability.
The neck back features a matte finish.

Okoumé Body
We’ve chosen Okoumé for the body, which delivers a bright, solid sound with midrange characteristics similar to mahogany.

Jatoba Fretboard
We use hard jatoba wood, with its brown hue and distinctive grain, for the fretboard.

EHB Ergonomic Body Design
The body design is ergonomically engineered to provide a well-balanced fit whether playing standing or seated.
The horn is shaped to balance the body and neck when playing standing up, while also providing a comfortable grip; the body curve on the high-string side is designed with a particular emphasis on fit and balance when playing seated.
The area of the body surface where the elbow rests has been contoured with a gentle slope. Additionally, all body edges that come into contact with the body have been rounded with a smooth radius.

MR5HS Mono-Rail Bridge
This specialized bridge allows for tuning by rotating the bridge end. It features Teflon washers to ensure smooth rotation.
The saddle can be moved 1.5 mm to the left or right, allowing you to set the string spacing to any desired value within that range.
This allows for precise adjustments tailored to your playing style.

EHB-Exclusive Headpiece
This dedicated headpiece allows for easy string installation and removal by turning a hex wrench from the back; it features a lightweight, robust, and simple design.

Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ
This active EQ offers 3-band equalization (High/Mid/Low). In passive mode, the High knob functions as a tone control.

Ibanez α1 Pickup
Features an original pickup designed for a modern sound, characterized by rich low and mid-range response and high clarity.

Equipped with an EQ On/Off switch for instant switching between active and passive modes
Equipped with an EQ On/Off switch that lets you toggle between Active Mode—which offers a wide range of sound shaping via the 3-band EQ—and Passive Mode, which allows for intuitive tone control while playing.
Even if the battery runs out, you can still play by switching to passive mode.
