USED SADOWSKY / JT/J 4 NAT/M [05]

This is an early Japanese-made Sadowsky.

Featuring the same specifications as the Sadowsky NYC models that began arriving in Japan in the late 1980s—including a Schaller 3D-4 bridge—its ultra-simple design, stripped of pickguards and control panels, was actually quite striking and caught the attention of players at the time.

Its overwhelmingly light weight and its setup—a model of playability that many modern bass luthiers strive to emulate—
This is likely one of the reasons why it continues to enjoy unwavering support today as one of the most important brands to have shaped the history of the electric bass.

The sound differs from the latest models due to variations in the preamp
. With a clear, balanced sound that perfectly embodies the "bright and punchy" (w) style that was cutting-edge at the time—a sound that attracted many players—it will likely sound refreshing to today’s younger players.
As for the amp, we really recommend using an SWR or EDEN...
