The YAMAHA BB1200 is a representative model of the "Broad Bass" series that appeared from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The combination of a robust through-neck construction and an alder body provides a core low frequency range and long sustain.

The distinctive inverted split pickup produces a powerful yet articulate mid-low range and boasts rich expressive power despite its passive nature. It has a strong presence whether fingerpicked or fingerpicked, and can be used in a wide range of genres from rock to fusion.

The 5-piece maple and mahogany thru-neck provides excellent rigidity and stable playability for years of use. The striped ebony fingerboard provides both attack and smooth playability.

This is a piece where YAMAHA's craftsmanship shines through. This bass is recommended for players seeking a traditional sound and solid construction.
