A 1966 Jaguar has arrived.
The Jaguar debuted in 1962 as the top-of-the-line model at the time.
This particular model, built in 1966, features specifications characteristic of the post-1965 era following the company’s acquisition by CBS, including block inlays, a bound neck, and F-key tuners.

The neck date is September 1966, and the pot date is the 12th week of 1966. While the date on the preset side cannot be confirmed, we believe it is original. The pickups are original gray bobbins; the front pickup is dated November 1966, and while the date on the rear pickup cannot be confirmed, we believe it is original. The capacitor in the master control switch has been replaced.

Both the body and neck have been over-lacquered, and there are traces of a string guide that was once attached to the headstock. Additionally, while there is some shrinkage on the pickguard, the overall condition is good considering its age. The saddle set screw has been replaced; there is about 5% of the original fret material remaining, and the neck has been adjusted with a shim in the neck pocket. The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
