The Murphy Lab Collection, Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1960 Les Paul Ultra Light Aged, is the culmination of years of aging technology.

The combination of light weather checks and light-aged hardware reproduce the condition that the guitar has been carefully stored in its case, and the lacquer process reproduces the natural weather checks of vintage guitars. The "Ultra Light Aged" finish is the most understated of the four available Aged levels, and features unpotted custom Bucker pickups, Luxe Bumblebee condensers, and vintage-curved pots.

The selected wood materials and the stately look of this guitar weighs a total of 4.05kg and boasts an unprecedented degree of perfection that almost makes it look like vintage. The back plate of the selector SW has a "1952-2022 Les Paul 70th Anniversary" plate, but a plain plate and a candy-colored selector knob are also included.

The PAF sticker inside the front PU is half removed. Other than the original aged finish, the guitar does not show much signs of use, but the weather cracks are likely to have progressed since manufacture.

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string change, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret adjustment, nut groove correction) upon arrival.
