USED GRETSCH / 1955-1956y 6120 Chet Atkins Orange [12]

An early spec Gretsch 6120 is now in stock.
The most famous model of Gretsch electric guitars, the 6120, has a serial number of 1956, but it is an inherited specs from 1955.

It was released in 1954 as a signature model of country guitarist Chet Atkins, and later became a representative model of Gretsch through the use of Brian Setzer and others.

It has a mix of '55-'56 specifications, including steer inlays with cow heads, aluminum nut, western motif fingerboard inlays, movable Bigsby tremolo, metal bridge/saddle, arrow-on-top control knob, and G engraving on the body.
The 7mm body thickness is another characteristic of this period.

Two original Dialmond Dyna-Sonic pickups are installed, and the bright and crisp sound is still there.

The truss rod, neck condition, and frets are in perfect condition, and the instrument remains in excellent player's condition.

The deep bass, mellow mids, and thick treble are well balanced even in the raw state, giving the instrument a superb vintage tone.
The body and neck have been over-lacquered, and there are some marks on the binding of the body and f-holes.
The base under the pickup has deteriorated and has been replaced with a new part made by a partner repair company.
There are some cracks on the binding, and the hardware is dull and rusty, but all parts have been maintained and cleaned at our repair center.
The hard case that comes with the guitar is a genuine Gretsch case, but it is believed to be from a different production period than the guitar itself.
