John English is a founding member of the Fender Custom Shop and one of its legendary master builders. He pioneered the use of the "relic" process, and his guitars are all superbly finished with an emphasis on the vintage look and feel. He influenced many master builders as a mentor, and even after he passed away in 2007, his guitars are still overwhelmingly popular.

The guitar we have just received is equipped with an early 1955 flat polepiece pickup, and the white blonde color that does not turn butterscotch blonde, which is unique to this period, has been beautifully reproduced.

The body is made of ash, and the thick maple neck is slightly V-shaped for an easy grip. Weighing only 3.14 kg, it is extremely lightweight and easy to handle.

In terms of sound, the front has a sweet, fat tone, while the rear has a crisp, edgy Telecaster-like sound. The neck and body vibrate well, so you can play this guitar for hours on end. The finish is truly the quintessence of master craftsman John English.

The finish is a closet classic, but the years of playing have added realistic scratches, giving it a real vintage look. This is truly a piece that deserves to last a lifetime. This is a gem that we can confidently recommend!

The nut, frets, and condenser (current Fender paper condenser) have been replaced.
In addition, the saddle screw, octave screw, and spring have been replaced.

There is a ding on the front pickup cover.
The back of the neck has a slight lift at the skank, but this is not a problem when playing.
There are some dents, scratches, and other age-related marks on the overall appearance of the instrument.
