Edward Van Halen is the world's greatest and one-of-a-kind guitarist.
Since his emergence on the music scene, he has used a variety of models, and this Wolfgang model was released by the company in 1996.
The unique shape has been carried over to his subsequent models and the model name has been continued.

The model we have just received is a rare one that was custom-ordered from PEAVEY USA, as it is marked "EVH Special Custom" on the check sheet.
According to the shipping check sheet, it was made in 2004, and has a gold PEAVEY logo, his signature branding on the back of the head, and a serial number starting from 51.

The body is one piece mahogany body with satin finish, bird's eye maple neck, and ebony fingerboard, which is not usual spec of this model.
Two powerful humbuckers are mounted on the pickups. The mahogany body has a fat sound with an emphasis on the midrange, and the ebony fretboard has a fast-rising, outgoing sound, so you can enjoy a superb sound that is not buried under high gain.

The volume pot has been replaced with a push/pull one, and the rear pickup has been modified so that it can be switched between series and parallel.
There are some paint cracks on the head and tension bar, but they are not a problem for playing.

There are some minor scratches, dents, and picking marks, but the neck is in relatively good condition considering the age of the instrument.

世界最高にして唯一無二のギタリスト、エドワード・ヴァン・ヘイレン。
音楽シーンに登場以来、様々なモデルを使用し、1996年に同社から発表されたのがこちらのWolfgangモデルです。
独特な形状のシェイプはその後も彼のモデルへと引き継がれ、モデル名も継続されています。

入荷したモデルはチェックシートにEVH Special CustomとあることからPEAVEY USAにカスタムオーダーされた珍しい一本と思われます。
出荷時チェックシートより2004年製の個体で、金のPEAVEYロゴにヘッド裏には本人のサイン焼印、51から始まるシリアルのUSA製モデルです。

ボディはサテン仕上げの1ピースマホガニーボディ、ネックはバーズアイメイプル、指板はエボニーと通常のモデルにはないスペックです。
ピックアップはパワフルなハムバッカーを2基搭載、マホガニーボディの中音域の強調された太いサウンドとエボニー指板の立ち上がりの早い抜けるサウンドを持ち合わせ、ハイゲインでも埋もれることのない極上のサウンドをお楽しみ頂けます。

ヴォリュームポットがプッシュ/プルのものに交換されていて、リアピックアップのシリーズ/パラレルの切り替えが可能なように改造されています。
ヘッド、テンションバー部に塗装の割れございますが、演奏面では問題ございません。

全体的に細かい擦り傷、打痕、ピッキング傷等ございますが、ネックの黒ずみも少なく傷の具合も年式を鑑みると比較的良好な状態を保っております。
また入荷時、全体調整済にてプレイコンディションも良好でございます。
