For customers residing in Japan
The Signature Limited 2012 Trem, made in 2012 and limited to 400 pieces worldwide, is now in stock in pre-owned condition!
The top is made of the finest artist grade curly maple, and combined with the black gold burst, it has a luxurious look and feel.

Signature Limited
The Signature Limited was designed by Paul Reed Smith himself as PRS's first "top grade wood material series" and produced in a limited edition of 1,000 from 1986 to 1991. In 1989, the Signature Limited Edition was also released in a limited edition of 300 pieces. The Signature series is the highest peak line that leads to Artist I, Artist II, Artist III, Artist Limited, and Private Stock, and in 2011, the Signature series will be revived from Private Stock with the newly developed 408 pickups. In 2011, the Signature Series was revived from Private Stock with the newly developed 408 pickups. The following year, in 2012, the Signature Limited model was released from the core production line of PRS Guitar in a limited edition of 400 pieces worldwide.

Body, Neck, and Fingerboard
The body is made of the finest artist grade curly maple top, mahogany back, and sinker mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood with a tight grain.

Sinker" in "Sinker Mahogany" refers to old sinker wood, which has sunk in rivers, lakes, and oceans while drying underwater (floating on the surface), sunk on purpose, or sunk after becoming separated while being transported from a mountain to a river. As a result, the cells become tighter over time and the wood becomes harder than new wood. New mahogany is very light and soft. Both are basically based on the sweet sound of mahogany, but the hardness added to the sound is different. The sound of the new mahogany is not as dry as vintage mahogany, but has a crisp, hard core. The characteristics may be similar to "Paul's Dirty 100" and "Peruvian Mahogany" which is often used in PS in recent years.

The fingerboard inlay is made of mother-of-pearl with a mother-of-pearl outline and Paua Heart Avalon, and the head also has a rosewood veneer with the Paua Heart Avalon brand logo and Signature Limited logo, which contributes to the gorgeous looks.

Neck Shape
The neck pattern is the "Pattern" shape used on McCarty and other guitars, which is rounder than the Pattern Regular and has a slightly grippier feel.

Pickups
The pickups are PS Signature and "408" pickups developed for this instrument.

This pickup, which allows 8 different sounds with 4 coils, is derived from "Sorcerer's Apprentice Guitar", which was created by Paul's own experiments in the early 1980's. The "408" pickup was developed for the PS Signature and this instrument. The PUs are derived from "Sorcerer's Apprentice Guitars," which were created by Paul's experiments in the early 1980s, and each can be switched between "single and hum" with a mini-switch. Unlike other models, it has less of a "coil tap" feel that makes it too thin, and we can confidently recommend it to those who normally use G or F guitars.

Condition
Paint is peeling on the top of the body, wood chips on the tip of the head, very minor paint chips on the back of the neck near the 3rd floor, minor dents and paint chips on the edge of the body, and there are many signs of use mainly on the back of the body. It is clear that this guitar has been played well, probably not in a collection.

The neck, frets, truss rod, etc. are all in good playing condition.
The neck, frets, truss rod, etc. are all in good playing condition, and have been fully adjusted and fretted at our repair center upon arrival.

Signature Limited
