USED GIBSON USA / LES PAUL STANDARD 1978 Cherry Sunburst [03]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst!

This guitar has a strong reddish color, and the body sides, back, and even the back of the neck are finished with a burst finish, giving it a 70s-like atmosphere.
This is one of the Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst.

It is in good condition and has a vintage look and feel.

This guitar was made in 1978, so it has a normal mahogany back and maple top instead of the pancake body.
The neck is a 3-piece maple neck with thin grip, which is typical of this era.

Two "engraved numbered PAF" PUs are installed.
Combined with the maple neck, it produces a bright sound with a 70s-like attack.
Even when heavily distorted, the tone does not lose its contour, and the sound is clear, giving a good impression of compatibility with hard rock and other styles.

The date on the front PU is "DEC 9 1977" and the date on the bridge PU is slightly faded but looks like "DEC 12 1977", both are original.

The Pots are all '78 and all original.

The pegs are original with Gibson logo, but there is a little rattling and the 3rd string peg is bent, but there are no problems with normal use.

There are some scratches on the body back and body end, and the paint is peeling.

The body top is in relatively good condition.

Unfortunately, the original hard case is missing and an external hard case is included.

This guitar has the look and sound unique to this era, and the price has been going up in recent years.
