USED FENDER USA / 1975 Jazz Bass [03]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1970's Jazz Bass in player's condition!

Originally, it is unmistakably vintage. However, it has been heavily modified and repaired.
The original instrument was probably made in 1975. We have judged comprehensively from the micro-tilt design and the pot date of the circuit before the replacement as described below.

The material is typical of the 70s: ash body, maple neck, and rose fretboard. However, there are many points to be replaced or repaired. First of all, the pickguard was not installed at the time of arrival, so a 70s-style black one was added at the store. The paint was probably refinished, and although the details are unknown, it is possible that the sunburst paint was removed because it has a reddish brown tint in some places. There are also numerous holes that may have been made and then filled in. The front of the body has been filled in after holes were drilled for a fence, and there are several additional holes on the bottom that appear to be for strap pins, which have been filled in with the exception of one hole that is currently in use and one other hole. There are also three holes on the back, but their purpose is unknown.

Regarding the electrical system, all circuits have been replaced with CTS ones. The original circuit is included in the case, but only the tone pots have been replaced with DIMARZIO ones. The two volume pots were both made in 1974, and the PUs are stuck on and cannot be identified. There is no evidence of replacement and it is probably original, but we cannot be sure because of the amount of work that has been done to the instrument.
Also, all four saddles have been replaced. The saddles have been replaced in all four places, and are probably original.
In addition, it has been refretted, re-nutted, and the fingerboard has been corrected.

The sound is a little firm, but the wide range of the sound is very good, with a core and sweet low mid and crisp high like in the early 70's. The truss rod is a little stiff, but it is easy to use.
